At ballet National de l'Opéra de Paris (the first ballet school in history established by Louis XIV in 1661 in Paris) only a small percentage of the company can be foreign. This percentage is currently dominated by the presence of Italian dancers. On an initiative of the first dancer Alessio Carbone, Les Italiens de l'Opéra de Paris celebrates the success and creation of 11 dancers who have managed to enter one of the most prestigious and competitive companies in the world, guardian of the classical tradition and laboratory open to modernity. The repertoire of the group reflects the vast repertoire of the great company French and varies from classical, neo-classical and contemporary. The two-step, solos and three steps presented demonstrate all the modernity of this historic Parisian school that recently celebrated its 300 years of tradition. Originally from Venice, Alessio Carbone directs and brings to the stage the Company "Les Italiens de l'Opéra de Paris" in the most important theaters. The program, chosen to measure, highlights the great talent of each of the dancers alternating the classical repertoire with the contemporary one. They are Valentine Colasante, Letizia Galloni, Sofia Rosolini, Ambre Chiarcosso, Simone Velastro, Antonio Conforti, Francesco Vantaggio, Francesco Mura, Andrea Sarri and Giorgio Fourès. Les Italiens will enchant the audience at the Ancient Theatre on August 22nd and will be replicated on August 23rd.
