For the Autumn at the Odeon organized by the Foundation Taormina Arte Sicilia on Thursday 10 October Notes of Hell – Dante in Jazz by and with Gigi Borruso, an experimental show that frames an imaginary interview with Dante by Gery Palazzotto with the improvisations and musical virtuosity by Diego Spitaleri and Fabio Lannino. "The Hell of Dante in Jazz" is a literary and musical game, ironic and delicate, which aims to enhance the musical dimension of the Comedy, interpreting the Dante's work in all its linguistic and semantic pregnance, crossed by the scraps and the jazz improvisations. A journey that will lead the viewer through some Dante's groups, through the most famous songs of Hell, to meet Charon and, increasingly down "in the blind world", Minos, Francesca da Rimini, Ulysses and other fascinating protagonists.On Friday 11 October Tribute to Diane Schuur with the exceptional voice of Lucy Garcia accompanied by Fabrizio Giambanco on drums, Diego Spitaleri on piano and Fabio Lannino, on bass and electric bass. A journey through the Blues and Soul of the great American interpreter, an absolute icon in the world of international music of high entertainment of jazz, soul, blues. Unique in singing as in piano performance, he marked historical vinyl grooves such as the unforgettable Love Dance or Easy To Love or his unforgettable Teach me tonight. A concert specially designed for the debut at the Roman Odeon in Taormina. On Saturday, October 12, Duo New Vision: Antonio Serratore and Lodi Luka, respectively on clarinet and piano, will perform music by Piazzolla, Galliano, Boccadoro, Luka, Porro and Galante. A concert organized in collaboration with the Almoetia Music Association. The Autumn season at the Odeon is supported by the Regional Councillors Tourism, Sport and Entertainment, Cultural Heritage and the Municipality of Taormina. The Odeon is a historical space in the heart of Taormina that returns to its natural destination of musical, theatrical and literary performances thanks to the Naxos-Taormina Archaeological Park.
