It is up to the comedy "Ladies in Black", the new film by Australian director Bruce Beresford ("A spasso con Daisy"), the honor of inaugurating the 65th edition of the Taormina Film Fest, which will take place in Taormina from 30 June to 6 July 2019. Beresford will be present at the show along with co-star Julia Ormond and other film actors. The Festival, produced and organized for the second consecutive year by Videobank, in collaboration with the Taormina Arte Foundation (supported by the Regional Tourism Department and the Municipality of Taormina), with the artistic direction of Silvia Bizio and Gianvito Casadonte, presents this a prestigious Jury presided over by Oliver Stone and composed - among others - by the writer André Aciman ("Call me with your name"), by the composer Carlo Siliotto ("Instructions Not Included", "Miracles from Heaven") and by actress Laura Morante. On the large screen of the evocative Greek Theater and in the halls of the Palazzo dei Congressi previews from around the world will take place, such as Martha Coolidge's new film, "'I'll Find You", with Stellan Skarsgård, Connie Nielsen and Stephen Dorff, which alongside the young actors Adelaide Clemens and Leo Suter. Among the many national and international guests, the presence of Oscar-winning Octavia Spencer ("The Help") stands out as the protagonist of the original series "Are You Sleeping?", Apple's new TV adventure, which announces its official entry as "content producer "At an international festival in Taormina: Apple will present its documentary" The Elephant Queen "and the film" Hala ", produced by actress and director Jada Pinkett Smith.
